Sansar Parenting is a service that specialises in undertaking culturally appropriate assessments. We are experienced in providing social work services for Black and Ethnic Minority families and communities. We offer a range of services for families from diverse communities and can provide workers to match the first language needs of families.

Our aims are to work closely with local authorities, organisations and families to ensure that wherever possible, children remain at home with their families, and should accommodation be necessary for them, that we provide a range of placements to cater for their needs.  Intensive work is also undertaken to rehabilitate children back to their families, when and if, it is safe to do so.

Sansar Parenting team includes professionals who are qualified, experienced, motivated and above all, child focused.  We are committed to ensuring that disadvantaged children have access to life chances and the best service possible and access to equal opportunities. Our staff including the family support workers are vigorously checked, trained and supported.  They will work alongside parents, carers and birth families to ensure the best outcomes for children.

We believe that children are likely to have better outcomes in life if their needs are being met and they are able to explore cultural experiences in a positive way.

We also believe that wherever possible and safe, children and their families should have appropriate support to form positive contact with each other.  We will endeavour to work with not just parents, but extended family members, the wider community and other people who are significant to the child.
